Today is the 10th day of March. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian. It is fantastic to be here with you today as we gather again around the global campfire.

Let it all go. Dive into this week and set it on a right course.

I'm glad that we can be together deeply.

Grateful that we can be together.

So we're working our way through the book of numbers.

And we have done some law and some review and some custom and some ritual.

We've also reached this point where, like, it's go time.

And so some people, one person from each tribe was appointed to become essentially a spy,

to go into the promised land, to look around, to scout it out,

to understand it, to understand what this land of promise was going to be, because these people,

although they came from this land, have been out of it for four and a half centuries.

And so they need to understand what's happened in the last 400 years and what is developed

and what it's like.

And so spies are appointed and they go into the land through the Ndegov desert,

up through into the hill country, scouting it out. And they come to this place, the valley of

Eschkol. We've been there before. We were there in the book of Genesis.

This is where Abraham bought a field to be a burial plot.

So they went back to the place of the origin of the promise and cut down some grapes.

And carried them back and came to the people and basically said,

it is awesome.

But there are giants there, and we will never defeat these people.

They are too strong for us.
