Today is the 29th day of June.

Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible.

Welcome to a brand new, shiny, sparkly week here in the month of June.

It is great to be here with you.

It's our custom kind of around here to greet a new week.

Understanding that we have some choices to make

because we're standing here together

and we're looking forward.

And this week is going to happen. Whether we want it to or not and this week is going to happen whether we want it to or not

this week is going to happen and we get a lot of power to choose what that will look like

there's a lot of things we have no control over, but we have control over ourselves if we

make choices in advance and not just react to everything.

So it's a grand vista.

It's the future.

And we're going to live into it with our thoughts and our words and our choices

and the actions that we take as a result of the things that we choose.

So I am grateful to be at this precipice and walk through into it with you, making my own choices, to live it well to the best of my ability.

And so grateful to be here around the global campfire today because one choice that we make each and every day is to show up

we're showing up here around the global campfire for each other we're showing up for ourselves

and so thanks for showing up I'm glad to be here.

Obviously, every day we're picking up where we left off, whether it's a new week or not.

And so, that brings us back into the book of Second Kings.
