Welcome to the Global Camp Fire. it's a brand new week so we

observe that it's out in front of us and it's new and his mercies are new every morning.

Which means they will be new every morning this week.

Which means they will be new this week.

It's a new week.

Let's live well. Let's live the instructions that we receive and apply them to

our lives and not just know about them let's do them and to do them

we have to hear them and so we're here to take the next step forward on our

journey through the scriptures.

We'll read from the good news translation this week

and for continuing our journey in the chronicling of the Kings of Israel at this point, the Kings of Israel, the Kingdom of Israel in the north and the kingdom of Judah in the south, which has given us twice as much to keep up with as we had before.

Because these tribes were all united as one under one leader.

But that is not the case at this point.

They are two different kingdoms with two different kings.

They are family, but they are not being very friendly.

And so let's pick up the story.

First Kings chapter 15, verse 25 through 1724 today. In the second year of the reign of King Aisa of Judah, King Geroboa's son Naid became king of Israel, and he ruled for two years.

Like his father before him, he sinned against the Lord and he led Israel into sin. Beasha, son of a hyge of the tribe of Isikar, plotted against Naidab and killed him as

Naidab and his army were besieging the city of Gibeton in Felistia.

This happened during the third year of the reign of King Aisa of Judah, and so Beasha Shahia succeeded

Naidab as King of Israel.
