Today is the 12th day of June.

Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible.

I am Brian. It is wonderful to be here with you today

as we gather here in the middle of the week

move our way through I guess this is the top of the mountain for this week. We'll head down into the valley of the weekend.

I hope the climb has been good.

And I hope our descent into the weekend is even better regardless.

Step by step day by day we work our way through the Bible and through a year of our lives together.

And so we're here for the next step.

And that next step in the scriptures

leads us back into the Book of First Kings

and we are,

we're kind of moving through this pinnacle point of

ancient Israel. Solomon is the king of Israel and he is leading the people into peace and prosperity they have never

known.

So this journey from slavery through the wilderness to the promised land to the monarchy now to Solomon

We've been moving toward this point and so we're there and it doesn't last super long so

let's just enjoy it while we're here first kings chapters nine and tan today. When Solomon finished building the temple of the Lord, the Royal

Palace and all that Solomon desired to do.

The Lord appeared to Solomon a second time just as he had appeared to him at Gibeon.
