It's great to be here with you. It's great to come back together again. It's great that we have another day that we get to come back to.

And I'm grateful for you. Now we can be here today and take this next step forward together in the Bible and our

learning of it and are incorporating it into our lives and allowing it to transform us.

Glad we have the global campfire that we can do that at.

So let's dive in, working our way through King Solomon's reign. And I mentioned yesterday,

the stuff that we're reading right now. There's a lot of construction going on

But this is this is the apex

Under Solomon's reign Israel reaches its highest point of peace and prosperity and it takes that opportunity

to become oppressive in a lot of ways. That's kind of how the cycle goes.

And that's what we're going to continue to watch in the lives of the children of Israel.

And so today, First Kings, chapter 8.

At that time, Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, all the tribal heads and the

ancestral leaders of the Israelites before him at Jerusalem in order to bring the

arc of the Lord's Covenant from the city of David, that is

Zion.

So all the men of Israel were assembled in the presence of King Solomon in the month of

Aethanim, which is the seventh month, at the festival.

All the elders of Israel came and the priests picked up the arc.

The priests and the Levites brought the arc of the Lord, the Tent of Meeting, and the holy utensils that were in the Tent.
