It is a privilege to be here

around the global campfire that we create each day

as we take another step forward on our journey.

So it's wonderful to be here together today.

Moving into some new territory, we finished the book of Second Samuel yesterday when we went through kind of all of

the leading people that were in that were the warriors that were around King David.

So we're about to kind of change the warriors that were around King David.

And so we're about to kind of change complexion.

We're gonna move into some new territory.

The book of First Kings, in a lot of ways we're like continuing the story forward from Samuel. So first

Samuel deals a lot with King Saul and then second Samuel deals a lot with King

David and then First Kings will deal a lot with King Solomon and

like with other books in the Bible and we talked about this when we started Samuel.

The books of kings were one manuscript that were broken apart for ease.

And so the territory that we're moving into now will share the same history and in a lot of ways be re-told

when we get to the books of Chronicles that follow the books of kings.

It's the same point in history is just being observed from a couple of different

vantage points and from from different time periods and so the book of the books of Kings

first and second Kings that we're moving into now there will be more

prominence given to the actual Royals, the Kings, the Royalty, and how they interacted
