Hi, how are you today?

This is good to be together. I'm glad that we can.

It's nice here in the rolling hills of Tennessee.

And it's always nice here around the global campfire. So this is great to be together.

Let's settle in and take a step forward on our journey that leads us through the Bible.

We're continuing to work our way through second Samuel and second Samuel is largely the story of King David and we've been through a lot with this man David all the different

seasons of his life and some of the critical choices that he made for good and for evil and the repercussions of each,

the consequences of each, because there are consequences for each, right?

We reap what we sow.

And so we'll continue the story forward.

David has lost a lot.

He's even lost his kingdom, but he has been restored. 2. Samuel chapter 22 verse 1 through 23, verse 23.

David sang to the Lord the words of this song when the Lord

delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul.

He said,

The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer.

My God is my rock in whom I take refuge,

my shield, and the horn of my salvation.

He is my stronghold, my refuge, and my savior.
