I'm Brian. It is fantastic to be here with you today as we you got it we get a brand new shiny

sparkly week so it's out there in front of us just as a reminder just as a

what are we gonna do we get to choose let's choose wisely the scriptures have

counseled us to do that to seek wisdom.

And so let's do that.

One of the ways that we do that is by letting the scriptures speak to us each day.

And so let's do that.

We'll read from the new international version this week.

We've just begun the Book of Second Chronicles,

so we're working through the life of

Solomon at this point. Second Chronicles chapter 4 verse 1 through 6 verse 11. He made a bronze altar 20 cubits long, 20 cubits wide and 10 cubits high. He made the C of cast metal, circular in shape, measuring

10 cubits from rim to rim and 5 cubits high. It took a line of 30 cubits to measure around it. Below the rim, figures of

bowls encircled it, tend to a cubit. The, three facing south, and three facing east. The sea rested on top of them, and their

hindquarters were toward the center. It was a handbreadth in thickness, and its rim was like the rim of a cup like a lily blossom.

It held 3,000 baths.

He then made 10 basins for washing and placed five on the south side and five on the north.

In them the things to be used for the burnt offerings were rinsed, but the sea was to be used

by the priests for washing.

He made ten gold lampstands according to the specifications for them and placed them in the temple,

five on the south side and 5 on the north.
