I'm Brian. It is wonderful to be here with you today.

As we move forward, bring another week to a close.

And we actually had a closing yesterday.

We ended the book of First Chronicles yesterday.

So even as we kind of bring a week to close. the these kind of longer manuscripts in their original form, how they were one long manuscript.

And so this is the case here with Chronicles.

We're moving into Second Chronicles.

There's like not a whole lot to fly over and go like here's the distinction because this was one manuscript

It's been broken apart later like the configuration we have now was broken apart

When the King James translation was created.

And so that's the configuration we have now, but it has been different in different times past.

So we're going into Second Chronicles, but it's not like we're moving into

another book. We're just kind of continuing the story forward. And I guess the

distinction here will be that we ended David's life in First Chronicles now we're going into Second Chronicles and picking up with Solomon's Ring.

And so that's where we find ourselves.

Second Chronicles, chapters 1 through 3 today. Solomon, son of David, took firm control of his kingdom, for the Lord his God was with him and made him very powerful.

Solomon called together all the leaders of Israel, the generals and captains of the army, the judges, and all the political and clan leaders.

Then he led the entire assembly to the place of worship in Gibeon, for God's

tabernacle was located there. This was the tabernacle that Moses, the Lord's servant,

had made in the wilderness.
