Today is the ninth day of July. Welcome to the Global Campfire. Welcome back to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian. It is great to be here with you today as we continue to navigate this seventh month of the year.

We're in the back half of the year, just getting going in it, but...

Alas, we are moving through the back half of the year already.

It happen fast. It always does.

A lot happens in the first half of the year. A lot happens in the second.

So I'm grateful to be here with you today.

For the next step forward, which leads us back into the Book of First Chronicles.

Just by way of reminder, this part of the Bible,

the first nine chapters of First Chronicles

are the famous genealogies.

And so we are very close

to kind of moving through them.

But we don't blow by them. We've mentioned what they are,

and we're kind of understanding the context that everything has fallen apart. And these

are the recorded memories of who these people are are and every one of these names is a life.

And then we can give it the reverence that it is due.

And so let's step forward together.
