Glad that it's here. We're looking forward to the time to regroup with the Lord and think about

the second half of the year. But one of the ways that we reset every single day is to come together

like we are now and take the next step forward in the scriptures. And so let's take that step

as we are long walking. Our next step in the scriptures leads us back into this new territory that we're

moving into in first chronicles where we are chronically the generations. Today, chapter 4 verse 5 through

5 verse 17. Asher, the father of Tukkoa had two wives, Hila and Nehara. Nehara gave birth to Ahuzum,

Hefer, Tamani and Ahashdarai. These were the sons of Nehara. The sons of Hila were Zuret,

Itzhar and Ethnon. Caws became the father of Anub, Zobiba and the clans of Ahara, the son of Harum.

Jbez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother named him Jbez because she said,

I gave birth to him with pain. Jbez called the God of Israel saying,

Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my borders. Let your hand be with me and keep me from

evil so that I will not experience pain. God granted him what he requested. Caloub, the brother of Shua,

became the father of Mahir who was the father of Aesthaun. Aesthaun became the father of Betrafa and

Pesia and Tahina, the father of Irnehash. These are the men of Rika. The sons of Khanas were

Othneal and Saraya. The sons of Othneal were Haitath and Mionatai. Mionatai became the father of

Ophra and Saraya became the father of Joab who was the father of Giharsim because they were

craftsmen. The sons of Caleb, son of Jipuna were Iru, Ila and Neyam. The son of Ila was Khanas.

The sons of Jahalal were Zif, Zifa, Tariah and Azarel. The sons of Azra were Jethir,

Mered, Afer and Jalan. Mered's wife gave birth to Miriam, Shumay and Ishba, the father of Eshtamoa.

These are the sons of Betia, the daughter of Pharaoh, who Mered took. His Judean wife gave birth
