Today is the sixth day of July. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian and it is wonderful

to be here with you today as we gather again around the global campfire and find a place

and move forward together. We started the book of First Chronicles yesterday, we talked

about that and the fact that the first nine chapters of Chronicles is reciting the genealogies

and then we are moving back through some of the territory that we moved through in Samuel

and Kings but from a different perspective from a fiercely perspective and from the perspective

of exile. So let's take the next step forward together. That leads us to where we left off,

which is First Chronicles chapter 2 verse 18 through 4 verse 4 today.

Caleb the son of Hazran became the father of children by Azuba his wife also known as Jariot.

These were her sons. Jaysher, Shobab and Ardon. Azuba died and Caleb married Ephraath who

gave birth to her for him. Her became the father of Uri and Uri became the father of Bezalau.

Afterward Hazran went to the daughter of Makir, the father of Giliad whom he took when he was

60 years old and she gave birth to Segoub for him. Segoub became the father of Jair who had 23 cities

in the land of Giliad. Gashher and Aram took the towns of Jair from them along with Kanat and

its villages, 60 cities and all. All these were the sons of Makir the father of Giliad.

After Hazran died in Caleb Effretta, Abijah Hazran's wife gave birth to Asher the father of Takawa.

The sons of Jaira Mio the first born son of Hazran were Ram his first born Buna, Oren, Ozem and Ahajah.

Jaira Mio had another wife whose name was Atara, she was the mother of Onam.

The sons of Ram the first born of Jaira Mio were Meaz, Jamin and Aikr. The sons of Onam were

Shema and Jada. The sons of Shema were Nehdab and Abishur. The name of Abishur's wife was Abaheo

and she gave birth to Aban and Moolid. The sons of Nehdab were Selad and Apeyam,

but Selad died without children. The son of Apeyam was Ishi. The son of Ishi was Shishan.
