We're making it for each other right now,

this safe oasis in the chaos of life

to allow the scriptures to come washing in and bringing truth into our hearts

that we can ignore, obviously, or embrace.

I guess the choice is always ours, but we've shown up, and that's a good first step to it all.

So let's take that next step. We are working our way through the book of Genesis, and

if I'm not mistaken, we'll conclude the book of Genesis tomorrow.

We've been working through the story of Joseph,

and we need to bring that to its conclusion before we move forward out of Genesis.

So today, Genesis chapter 48 and 49.

Okay. Genesis chapter 48 and 49. After these things, Joseph was told,

Your father is weakening.

So he took his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim, with him.

When Jacob was told, your son Joseph has just come to you,

Israel regained strength and sat up on his bed.

Jacob said to Joseph,

the sovereign God appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan and blessed me.
