It is wonderful to be here with you today again as we gather around the global campfire.

Deep breath, right?

Deep breath in.

That is a gift and a nice long exhale.

That is giving back.

We're in a safe place.

We're here to take the next step forward on our journey,

the adventure through the Bible this year.

And we find ourselves pretty squarely committed to the story of Joseph right now.

Who's gone through a lot has gone through well more than most

and has somehow taken a long view that there's a bigger story going on somehow somehow some way

he will trust in God and he has been put in charge of everything in the Egypt

and actually has spared Egypt and the entire region from

like starvation, from just terrible, terrible deaths from starvation.

So Canaan is affected, not just Egypt, Canaan is affected,

and that is where Joseph's family who sold him into slavery lives

and his brothers have come to get supplies, to try to stay alive,

and he's been reunited with his brothers who trafficked him.
