Today is the 18th day of January. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. Welcome to the Global

Campfire. I'm Brian. It's great to be here with you today as we bring to a conclusion.

One of the 52 weeks that we get to spend together. Obviously our journey takes a year, day by day,

step by step, when we go through the entire Bible, every book, every chapter, every verse.

And we're still kind of at the beginning of the year, so we're just getting going, but the Bible,

the Bible gets going pretty quick. So's a lot of things for us to consider just in this first little bit of the year,

and I have found it to be challenging, as always, and looking forward to that, continuing. We are continuing our journey through the first book of the Bible,

the book of Genesis.

And we've moved our way all the way from Adam and Eve through Noah,

through all the different things that happen,

to spread humanity out upon the earth.

And then we settled down and met a man named Abram, whose name was Abraham,

who had a son of promise named Isaac, who also had sons, Jacob and Esau.

There was a lot of conflict between those two.

And Jacob had to flee.

He spent a couple of decades away.

He married, had children.

And then on his return back to his ancestral homeland, his name was changed to Israel.

And so then we learned that, well, these are the children of Israel.

Now we're going to focus in on one of those children of Israel.

His name is Joseph.
