Today is the 15th day of January. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am

Brian. It is great to be here with you as we gather around the global

campfire. Move forward, take another step together.

On our journey, the journey of this week, the journey of this year and the journey of our lives. So we're taking steps every day. So that as we move

through this year we move through everything that the Bible has to say, every verse, every chapter, every book.

And so we always pick up where we left off,

so that we don't miss anything.

And that leads us back into the book of Genesis today.

We are seeing Jacob and his two wives and their two servants.

They're making a family, and as we see each of these children born, they may sound familiar.

We'll get to know those names.

These children...

Well, they're the children of Israel, and we'll see how that comes to be soon enough.

But today, Genesis Chapter 31, verse 17 through 32, verse 12. So Jacob got up and put his children and wives on the camels. He took all the livestock and

possessions he had acquired in Padden Arem and he drove his herds to go to the land of

Canaan to his father Isaac. When Leiben Laban the Eremian not telling

them that he was fleeing he He fled with all his possessions,

crossed the Euphrates, and headed for the hill country of Gilead.

On the third day, Laban was told that Jacob had fled,

so he took his relatives with him, pursued Jacob

for seven days, and overtook him in the hill country of Gilead.

But God came to Laben the Aromian in a dream at night.
