Today is the 11th day of January. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian. It is wonderful to be here with you today as we gather around the global campfire and take the next step forward together on our journey through the scriptures.

And we are well into the book of Genesis now.

And we have been led from Genesis 1 all the way into this place where we are now focused

and will remain focused on the family of Abraham.

We made a bit of a transition yesterday.

Sarah died, who is Abraham's wife.

Abraham sent his servant to find a wife for his son, Isaac, who is now ready to be married.

So we are moving into the second generation of the family.

Today, Genesis chapter 24, verse 52, through 26, verse 16.

When Abraham's servant heard their answer, he bowed down to the ground and worshipped the

Lord. Then he brought out silver and gold jewelry and clothing and presented them to Rebecca.

He also gave expensive presents to her brother and mother. Then they ate their meal and the servant and the

man with him stayed there overnight. But early the next morning, Abraham's servant said,

send me back to my master. But we want Rebecca to stay with us at least 10 days, her brother

and mother said, and she can go. But he said, don't delay me. The Lord has made my

mission successful. Now send me back so I can return to my master. Well, they said, we'll call

Rebecca and ask her what she thinks. So they called Rebecca.

Are you willing to go with this man?

They asked her.

And she replied, yes, I will go.

So they said goodbye to Rebecca and sent her away with Abraham's servant and his men.

The woman who had been Rebecca's childhood nurse went along with her. They gave her this blessing as she parted.
