I'm Brian. It is wonderful to be here with you today

as we gather again and move forward on our brand new journey.

Still kind of navigating our first week, but we are underway. We are sailing free into the wide open

across this year together. So let's pick up where we left off. That's what we

will do every single day. Pick up where we left off. That's what we will do every single day. Pick up where we left off.

And that leads us back into Genesis.

Today we will read Chapter 13, verse 5 through 15, verse 21 and we're at the point in the book of Genesis where things are

starting to slow down now and we've been moving very very rapidly now we're starting to meet a family in the making. And we've met this

man named Abram and we've met his wife named Sorai and it is their family that we will be traveling with for the rest of the Bible pretty much.

So let's dive in, Genesis chapter 13.

Lots, who was traveling with Abram, had also become very wealthy with flocks of sheep and goats, herds of cattle, and many tents. But the land could not support both Abram and Lott with all their flocks and herds living so close

together, so disputes broke out between the herdsmen of Abram and Lots.

At that time, Canaanites and parasites were also living in the land.

Finally, Abram said to Lott, let's not allow this conflict to come between us or our herdsmen, after all, we are close relatives.

The whole countryside is open to you.

Take your choice of any section of the land you want and we will separate.

If you want the land to the left, then I'll take the land on the right.

If you prefer the land on the right then I'll go to the left."

Lott took a long look at the fertile plains of the Jordan Valley in the direction of Zawar.

The whole area was well watered
