It's fantastic to be here with you today.

As we gather again around the global campfire,

bring another one of our weeks to its conclusion

by taking the next step forward.

We're in a part of the Bible at this point that can be tedious for a lot of people.

It's the Mosaic law.

So different customs and rituals and just the exactness of everything.

And we're just so many thousands of years into the future that we're looking back into

a culture that we don't fully recognize.

And so we don't really understand all of the significance of everything.

And it's easy to just get lost and check out at this point, but it's important.

It's important to the story.

What's being laid out here is the formation of a culture that has not existed with rights

and rituals that are uncommon.

This is a different kind of thing being formed in the wilderness.

It is to weave into the tapestry of this people a new identity.

And a purpose with everything, everything, everything that they do,

pointing them back to who God is and who they are because of God,

and what they are doing because of God, and where they are going because of God.
