Today is the sixth day of February. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I'm Brian. It is wonderful to be here with you today as we gather again around the global campfire and take the next step forward as we always do day by day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Because we're in

a relationship with the Bible. We're allowing it to speak into our lives as our lives change.

And it has always got something for us. And so I'm glad we can be here around the global

campfire today. Let's take that next step

forward. We're with the children of Israel around the mountain of God as God is beginning to

reveal the context for this new people that he is forming in the wilderness. Exodus

Chapter 23, verse 14, to that he is forming in the wilderness. Exodus,

Chapter 23, verse 14,

to 25, verse 40.

Three times a year,

you are to celebrate a festival to me.

Celebrate the festival of unleavened bread.

For seven days eat bread made without yeast as I commanded you.

Do this at the appointed time in the month of Aviv,

for in that month you came out of Egypt.

No one is to appear before me empty-handed.

Celebrate the festival of harvest with the first fruits of the crops you sow in your field.

Celebrate the festival of in-gathering at the end of the year when you gather in your crops from the field.

Three times a year, all the men are to appear before the sovereign lord.

Do not offer the blood of a sacrifice to me along with anything containing yeast.

The fat of my festival offerings must not be kept until morning.
