Today is the 20th day of December. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I'm Brian. It is great to be here

with you today as we continue navigating day by day and step by step. No matter what time of year it is,

and it's no secret. it's Christmas time around here.

It's a busy time that we're in.

But day by day, step by step, we move through every season of life together and let the

scriptures speak into our lives no matter what's going on.

Today's no different.

And we've been moving rapidly through the minor prophets

like a book a day.

Like so often,

we're moving into new territory again today.

We will encounter the tenth

of the 12 books of prophecy

that are known as the minor prophets.

Today, the book of Haggai, and like many of the other minor prophets, this book doesn't

give us a whole lot in the way of who Haggai is, like, what the biographical sketch might be.

We know that Aghii was among those who had returned from the Babylonian exile and were

living in Jerusalem.

He was probably one of the first wave of the exiles that returned.

We also know that he had access to the people that were in leadership and power

because as the book opens up,

it indicates that he's delivering the messages to Zarubabel,
