It's great. We made it through another week together.

Great to be here with you today as we bring to close another one of the weeks that we get to spend

together and well whether beginning middle or end of the week we're here to take another step forward

and so we'll step forward through the end of the week with a longing and expectation that we'll have a brand new shiny sparkly week tomorrow.

So let's kind of reflect.

We've done it.

We've lived the week.

Kind of regrouping and considering how that went.

Reflecting on how that went is a good practice to be in as we prepare for the new week.

But in the meantime, let's take the next step forward.

Nehemiah is the book that we are in in the Old Testament right now.

Today, Nehemiah chapter 11, verse 1 through 12, verse 26.

Now, the leaders of the people stayed in Jerusalem, and the rest of the people cast lots

for one out of ten to come and live in Jerusalem, a holy city, while the other nine-tenths

remained in their towns.

The people blessed all the men who volunteered to live in Jerusalem.

These are the heads of the province who stayed in Jerusalem,

but in the villages of Judah each lived on his own property in their towns,

the Israelites, priests, Levites, temple servants, and descendants of Solomon's servants,
