I am Brian. It is, it's great to be here with you today.

Hop Day, middle of the week.

I guess we can take a little mid-week reflection.

We're halfway in.

We were looking at this a couple of days ago and it was out in front of us and reflection we're halfway in we were looking at this a couple of days ago

and it was out in front of us and now we're like in the middle of it i hope all is going well

i hope we're navigating with our hearts and with all of our hearts to do what is right

and just and good.

And I am grateful that we can be here today to take the next step forward.

And that leads us back into the book of Nehemiah, which is a fantastic look at leadership,

but a fantastic look at having vision and counting the cost because having a dream is having a dream, but actually achieving it,

that's work.

So let's go back into the book of Nehemiah today, chapter 5, verse 14 through 7, verse 73.

Furthermore, from the day King Artig Xerxes appointed me to be their governor in the land of Judah,

from the 20th year until his 32nd year, 12 years.

I and my associates never ate from the food allotted to the governor.

The governors who preceded me had heavily burdened the people, taking from them food and wine as well as a pound of silver.

Their subordinates also oppressed the people, but because of the fear of God, I didn't do this.

Instead, I devoted myself to the construction of this wall, and all my subordinates were gathered

there for the work.
