0:37.7	We've been reading through the story of Gideon, and Gideon has died now, and his son,
0:44.3	Abimalek, has killed all but one of his sons.
0:49.3	Abimalek is a son of Gideon.
0:52.1	He was born to his concubine in the city of Shekham, and we will pick up the story from
1:00.2	their Judges 9-22 through 10-18 today.
1:13.0	When Abimalek had ruled over Israel three years, God sent an evil spirit between Abimalek
1:19.2	and the citizens of Shekham.
1:21.7	They treated Abimalek deceitfully, so that the crime against the 70 sons of Jirube el-Mayk
1:27.3	come to justice, and their blood would be avenged on their brother Abimalek who killed
1:32.4	them, and on the citizens of Shekham who had helped him kill his brothers.
1:38.6	The citizens of Shekham rebelled against him by putting men in ambush on the tops of
1:43.0	the mountains, and they robbed everyone who passed by them on the road.
1:48.5	This was reported to Abimalek.
1:52.0	Gail, son of Ebed, came with his brothers and crossed into Shekham, and the citizens
