Today is the 30th day of April. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible.

I'm Varayan and we made it. We made it guys. We made it through four while we have almost

made it through four months of the year. So we're bringing this month in for a landing

and even as we end this month we will be beginning a brand new book, A Gospel of John

today and we'll talk about that when we get there. Well done here we are at the Cosp.

And tomorrow we will begin our fifth month together. But before we can do that we need to take

the next step, the one that's right in front of us, the one that's for today. And that

leads us back into the book of Judges. We'll read from the English standard version this week

and today Judges, chapters 11 and 12.

Jeff Tha, the Gileadite was a valiant warrior but he was the son of a prostitute and Gilead

was his father. Gilead's wife bore him sons and when they grew up they drove Jeff Tha

out and said to him, you will have no inheritance in our father's family because you are the son

of another woman. So Jeff Tha fled from his brothers and lived in the land of Talb.

Then some worthless men joined Jeff Tha and went on raids with him.

Sometime later the Ammonites fought against Israel. When the Ammonites made war with Israel the

elders of Gilead went to get Jeff Tha from the land of Talb. They said to him, come be our

commander and let's fight the Ammonites. Jeff Tha replied to the elders of Gilead, didn't

you hate me and drive me out of my father's family? Why then have you come to me now when you are in trouble?

They answered Jeff Tha, that's true but now we want to turn to you. Come fight with us, fight the Ammonites

and you will become leader of all the inhabitants of Gilead. So Jeff Tha said to them, if you are bringing

me back to fight the Ammonites and the Lord gives them to me, I will be your leader. The elders of

Gilead said, Jeff Tha, the Lord is our witness if we don't do as you say. So Jeff Tha went with the
