Today is the 28th day of April. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible.

I'm Brian. It is wonderful to be here with you today as we greet another brand new shiny sparkly

week another resets another threshold that we can walk in together and make some choices about

how this is gonna go because it hasn't happened yet. And so we can make those choices ahead of time.

And we're informing those choices by applying the scriptures

into our lives each day. And so we're greeting the week correctly.

Before we get out of this week we'll greet a brand new month and so we mark the passage of time as we continue forward on our journey.

We're in the book of judges.

This week we'll read from the English Standard Version, today Judges Chapter 8

verse 18 through 9, verse 21.

Then he said to Ziba and Zalmuna, where are the men whom you killed at Tabor?

They answered,

As you are, so were they.

Every one of them resembled the son of a king.

And he said, they were my brothers, the sons of my mother.

As the Lord lives if you had saved them alive I would not kill you.

So he said to Jather, his firstborn, Rise and killed them.

But the young man did not draw his sword for he was afraid, because he was still a young man.

Then Ziba and Zalmuna said,

Rise yourself and fall upon us.

For as the man is, so is his strength.

And Gideon arose and killed Ziba and Zalmuna, and he took the crescent ornaments that were on the necks of their camels.
