Today is the 16th day of April. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I'm Brian. It is wonderful to be together again here around the global campfire, taking another step together forward day by day, step by step.

As we navigate a year of our lives and the entirety of the scriptures,

wow, that we get to do this.

What a joy.

And as we navigate the scriptures, we're obviously moving through the Gospels in the New

Testament, so we're in the ministry of Jesus.

In the Old Testament, we have come so many places, so many ups and downs and spent so

much time in the wilderness.

We're in the promised land, finally.

We're in the book of Joshua.

Today, chapters 13 and 14.

When Joshua had grown old, the Lord said to him,

You are now very old, and there are still very large areas of land to be taken over.

This is the land that remains. All the regions of the Philistines and Gesherites.

From the Shihor River on the east of Egypt to the territory of Ekron on the north, all of

it counted as Canaanite, though held by the five Philistine rulers in Gaja, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gat, and Ekron.

All the land of the Canaanites from Arrah of the Sedonians as far as Aphek, the border of the Amorites, the area of Biblos and all Lebanon

to the east from Beal Gad below Mount Harmon to Libo Hamat.

As for all the inhabitants of the mountain regions from Lebanon to Miseraphot Maim, that is, all the

Sedonians, I myself will drive them out before the Israelites. Be sure to allocate this land

to Israel for an inheritance, as I have instructed you and divided as an inheritance among the nine tribes
