It is an honor to be here with you today as we gather again around the global campfire.

Move through Holy Week together.

It's great that we can have this opportunity, another day, another step,

in the story of the Scriptures and in the story of our lives.

So in the Scriptures, we're in the Book of Joshua right now.

And it's the coming into the Promised Land. So there were people there. There were kings

there. There were great cities there. It's a land full of milk and honey, but it's also a land full of

a lot of different people and there are alliances and there's power struggles and there is drama and so we're

watching that we watched a deceptive peace treaty with the children of israel we watched five kings

attack that city that made peace with israel we watched Israel come and defeat all those kings and

so at this point like the whole it got an entire part of the southern

promised land is under the control of the children of Israel let's move

forward Joshua chapters 11 and 12 today When Jabin, King of Hotsor, heard of this, he sent word to Jobab, King of Maidan, to the kings of Shimran and Aksaf,

and to the northern kings who were in the mountains,

in the Araba south of Kinaret,

in the western foothills and a napalth door on the west,

to the Canaanites on the east and west,

to the Amarites, Hittites, Parasites, and Jebiasites in the hill country,

and to the Hivites below Hermann in the region of Mitzpah.
