Welcome to the Global Camp Fire. How are you today? It is great to be here as we bring another one of our weeks to a close and continue to show up every day for each other.

No matter what the day, no matter what part of the week it is or what month it is,

we show up for each other and take the next step for together.

And create a beautiful oasis of safety while we do it.

And so, we're here to read the Bible.

We're in the book of Joshua.

Jericho has been conquered, but the children of Israel have gone

on to the next city, a smaller city called I and they have been defeated. God has said it's because of rebellion.

It's because on their first mission there has been rebellion and people are taking what is not theirs to take what belongs

to God.

And so we pick up the story, Joshua, Chapter 7, verse 16 to 9, verse 2. Early the next morning Joshua brought the tribes of Israel before the Lord and the tribe of

Israel before the Lord and the tribe of Judah was singled out. Then the clans of Judah came forward and the clan of

Zero was singled out. Then the families of Zera came forward and the family of

Zimmeri was singled out. Every member of Zemri's family was brought forward person by person and Aiken was singled out.

And Joshua said to Aiken, my son give glory to the Lord, the God of Israel, by telling the truth.

Make your confession and tell me what you have done.

Don't hide it from me.

He can reply, it is true. have sinned against the Lord the God of Israel.

Among the plunder I saw a beautiful robe from Babylon, 200 silver coins and a bar of gold weighing more than a pound.

I wanted them so much that I took them.

They are hidden in the ground beneath my tents, with the silver buried deeper than the rest.
