Today is the 10th day of April. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I'm Brian. It is fantastic to be here with you today back around the global campfire and our nice, safe and cozy place.

Glad that we can be here today. Glad that we're here for a reason, and that is to take another

step forward in the scriptures.

And we'll be transitioning today.

We've been working through the book of Deuteronomy for a while, which is the fifth

book of the Torah, the final book of the Torah, the final declarations of the man of God named as Moses,

who has led the children of Israel out of slavery

and right to the precipice of entering into the promised land.

We're going to finish the Torah today.

We'll finish Deuteronomy today and move forward,

the next book being called

Joshua, who is the leader, who will take Moses place. And so we'll talk about Joshua in a

minute when we get there. Just kind of do a little flyover. Well, let's finish the book of

Deuteronomy with Deuteronomy chapter 34.

Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo to the top of Mount Pisg, east of Jericho, and there the Lord showed him

the whole land, the territory of Gilead as far north as the town of Dan, the entire territory of

Naftali, the territories of Ephraim and Manasseh, the territory of Judah as far west as the Mediterranean Sea,

the southern part of Judah, and the plain that reaches from Zohar to Jericho, the city of palm trees.

Then the Lord said to Moses,

This is the land that I promised Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob I would give to their

descendants. I have let you see it, but I will not let you go there. So Moses, the Lord's servant,

died there in the land of Moab as the Lord had said he would.
