| 0:00.0 | Today is the 8th day of April. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian and it is wonderful to be here with you today as we reach the conclusion of the first full week of this month. |
| 0:21.0 | And I am glad that we could do this together as we gather around the global campfire and move forward on our epic journey through the scriptures and through a year in our lives together as we share our stories and share our lives in community. |
| 0:41.0 | And so our next step forward leads us back into the book of Deuteronomy. A couple more days in the book of Deuteronomy and we'll be moving forward. |
| 0:53.0 | Where we find ourselves today and where we're picking up is in the middle of a song, a song that the Lord told Moses to teach to the people, a song that was to stand as a witness against them because it had been told the Moses that when they got into the Promised Land they were going to fall away and that this song would stand as a remembrance, as a reminder, as a witness. |
| 1:23.0 | The day had been instructed and the day knew what they were supposed to do. So we're picking up in the middle Deuteronomy chapter 32 verse 28 verses 28 through 52 today. |
| 1:40.0 | My people have lost their good sense. They are not able to understand. If only they were wise enough to understand this and realize what will happen to them. |
| 1:55.0 | How could one person chase a thousand or two people make ten thousand flee? Their rock used these people to defeat them and the Lord gave them no help. Their rock isn't like our rock. |
| 2:10.0 | Even our enemies will agree with this. Their grapevines come from the vineyards of Sodom and from the fields of Gomorrah. Their grapes are poisonous and their clusters are bitter. |
| 2:22.0 | Their wine is snake venom, the deadly poison of Cobra's. Isn't this what I've stored under lock and key in my storehouses? |
| 2:33.0 | I will take revenge and be satisfied. In due time their foot will slip because their day of disaster is near. Their doom is coming quickly. |
| 2:46.0 | The Lord will judge his people and have compassion on his servants when he sees that their strength is gone and that no one is left. Neither slaves nor free people. |
| 2:58.0 | Then he will ask, where are their gods? Where is the rock they took refuge in? Where are the gods who ate the fat from their sacrifices and drank the wine from their wine offerings? |
| 3:12.0 | Let them come to help you. Let them be your refuge. |
| 3:18.0 | See, I am the only God. There are no others. I kill and I make alive. I wound and I heal. And no one can rescue you from my power. |
| 3:34.0 | I raise my hand toward heaven and solemnly swear. As surely as I live forever, I will sharpen my flashing sword and take justice into my own hands. |
| 3:46.0 | Then I will take revenge on my enemies and pay back those who hate me. My arrows will drip with blood from those who are killed and taken captive. |
| 3:58.0 | My sword will cut off the heads of the enemy who vowed to fight. |
| 4:04.0 | Joyfully sing with the Lord's people, you nations, because he will take revenge for the death of his servants. |
| 4:11.0 | He will get even with his enemies and make peace for his people's land. |
| 4:18.0 | Moses came with Oshia, son of Nun, and recited all the words of this song as the people listened. |
| 4:26.0 | When Moses had finished reciting all these words to Israel, he said to them, |
| 4:30.0 | pay attention to all these warnings I have given you today. |
