Today is the seventh day of April. Welcome to the daily audio Bible.

I'm Brian. It is great to be here with you around the global campfire today as we

gather and take the next step forward together. We are navigating our way through

Holy Week. Today is good Friday. We can talk about that in a little bit. We need to take

the next step forward and our next step forward together leads us back out into the book of

Deuteronomy. A few more days and we will close the book of Deuteronomy and move forward.

We will end our reading of the Torah this year. But we're not there yet.

Moses still has a few final things to say. Deuteronomy being the final discourses of Moses to the

children of Israel before a new leader takes over and leads the children of Israel forward.

And we're going to hear about that leader today. So let's dive in.

Deuteronomy chapter 31 verse 1 through 32 verse 27 today.

Moses continued to speak to all the Israelites. I'm 120 years old now and I'm not able to lead you

anymore. Besides, the Lord has told me that I cannot cross the Jordan River. The Lord

your God is the one who will cross the river ahead of you. He will destroy those nations

as you arrive and you will take possession of their land. Joshua will also cross the river ahead of you

as the Lord told you. The Lord will do to those nations what he did to King Zion and King

Aug of the Amorites and to their lands when he destroyed them. The Lord will hand them over to you

and you must do to them everything that I commanded you. Be strong and courageous.

Don't tremble. Don't be afraid of them. The Lord your God is the one who is going with you.

He won't abandon you or leave you. Then Moses called for Joshua and said to him in the presence of all

Israel. Be strong and courageous. You will go with these people into the land that the Lord will

give them as he swore to their ancestors. You will help them take possession of the land.
