As you know, I'm Rafe Granger, your host for this morning. And I thought

I would go over a topic. I get asked a lot, especially by family members of gamers and people

knew and wanting to get into gaming. So for you hardcore listeners, you may be like, yeah, Rafe, we already know

all this, but I don't know, maybe pass this on to family members that you love that have

always been interested in gaming and don't quite know where to start or, you know, just want

some help. Or this will help you in giving advice to those people in your life that ask you about board gaming over the holidays.

So what gave me reason to think of this is I recently attended this convention called the Dave Ramsey Influencer Event.

Now, some of you may know who Dave Ramsey is and some of you may not, but who he is,

is he's a personality here in the United States, began his career teaching this product

and process called the Total Money Makeover, where he teaches like real-life common-sense budgeting

and how to, you know, get your life financially in the direction that you want it to go.

What's interesting is his methods sort of get misapplied in the media sometimes,

especially even those regions that don't know them very well, where, you know, they misconstrue

that he's saying, you know, you've got to sell all your stuff and be, and don't have nice

things. And that's not it at all. He just, you know, tells his personal story, which is a really interesting story. I won't go through it here. But, you know, it's all about like, you know, buy what you want. Buy it in cash, don't use credit. Because if you don't live with credit, then you, you have true freedom.
