I have been waiting a really long time for this, finally getting to speak with

Tara whom I I kind of feel like we're soulmates I really think so this is so

excited to talk to you if anyone listening out there has not heard of Tara the geeky hostess you need to go

find her right now she has an amazing blog in which we're going to learn all sorts of

things you're going to tell us all these cool things about your blog but I mean

really how did how does one become the geeky hostess? Well if you like me

have a lot of geeky passions and interests and you want to find a way to

express it in your everyday life and you want to find a way to kind of bring some of your friends

and family that aren't as geeky into your world, you kind of become this geeky host or geeky

hostess.

You incorporate your passions into parties, into recipes, into gift ideas, into home decor.

And the geeky Hostess site itself started

once I was out of college and living on my own

with my Ben boyfriend now husband

and realizing I need to start focusing on things like home decor and entertaining and I want to become this better hostess but I don't want to lose sight of the things that I'm excited about and passionate about.

So it's all about incorporating those together.

So I think it's really cool because I think a lot of times

people separate the two or they don't realize that
