All right, and Shinket Saints, we are back, and it is T-minus one week and counting.

Next week, we will be studying session 76, which is one of the great doctrinal masterpieces of the doctrine and covenants.

Six visions flowing like an overflowing, or rolling like an overflowing surge before Joseph and Sidney Regan.

And we'll get to see visions of the father

and son, visions of the fall of Lucifer, sons of perdition, terrestrial, or telestrial, terrestrial,

celestial, celestial, it's all right there. But it's still one week away. So hold your horses,

will you? Be patient. We've got some great stuff to talk about this week in anticipation of next week.

But as we've seen repeatedly in the Doctrine Covenants, you have these earth-shattering doctrinal

disclosures interspersed with some day-to-day kind of what am I supposed to do between now

and next general conference. Where are we supposed to move? and how am I supposed to organize things?

You have big things and smaller things. None of them are small, but smaller compared to the other ones.

And that's what we have this week. This week we are section 71 through 75. And in these five

revelations, it's kind of a pot-ourri of different things. A quick overview,

71 and 73 form a pair, where 71 is Joseph Smith and Sydney Riggin being told to pause their work

on the JST to go put some fires out, and then 73 is, okay, most of those fires are now smoldering.

Get back to work on the JST and pick up

where you left off. So stop and restart. That's section 71 and 73. Seventy-two and 75 also

are a pair of sorts that have to do with new callings and new positions. In 72, Newell-K. Whitney

is called to be a bishop of the church,

and some instructions are given to bishops. So any of you newly called out there, Section 72

might have some good insights for you. And then 75, there's a new calling for none other than Joseph Smith.

There's a conference going on, and at this conference, Joseph Smith is ordained

...
