Hello, everybody. Welcome back. Jared Halverson here, Unshaken, and we've got wonderful revelations this week.

67, 68, 69, 70, and some interesting things are happening that kind of bind these revelations together.

In fact, that's what it's about. Will we bind these revelations together at all and send them out to a world in desperate need of them?

It's funny because lately, I have been going full Marie condo funny because lately I have been going full Marie condo at home. I have been feng shuiang if that's the right pronunciation.

Just trying to clean things up and making multiple trips to D.I.

and donating stuff and going through old boxes that haven't seen the light of day for a long, long time.

Now that can be tricky because every time you open a box, oh, here we go, trip down memory lane, right?

And you're looking through old papers and deciding what do I keep and what do I throw away?

Am I being untrue to my children if I throw away that thing they drew in elementary school. Hard things. What do you

save and what do you keep? What is meant for posterity? What should be preserved forever and

held on to? And in a way, that describes what the saints are going through right now. This is

November of 1831. The church is about a year and a half

old, but as far as revelations are concerned, we've had multiple years worth coming in through

prophet Seer and Revelator Joseph Smith. The question is, what do we do? We knew what we were supposed to do

with the Book of Mormon. Translated by the gift and power of God, this is ancient scripture. It's now just coming forth in the latter days, so let's publish it so the voice

from the dust can start speaking from the ground. But when Joseph is giving revelation,

and scribes are writing it down, is that meant just for the moment? Or are they supposed to be

scripture? Do they outlive their initial audience? That's one of the great definitions of Scripture. Now, the idea of canonizing

something means it wasn't just inspired in its moment, in its original delivery. This one has

principles and truths that are meant to outlive that original audience, and generation after generation will still be bound by the truths that are taught there.

Well, again, Book of Mormon is new enough, but at least we have a model.

We've got the Bible, so old world ancient scripture.
