Hello and shaken saints. I'm Jared Halverson. Welcome back to class and welcome back to

Kirtland. Last week we were in Zion, Jackson County, Missouri, those two amazing revelations,

section 58 and 59. We're here, put us to work and the Lord says, ah come on, go be anxiously

engaged. I'm not going to give you

specifics. And that was 58. 59, amazing revelation about the Sabbath. And those two are kind of

hang your hat on the section, tell me 58 and I know what's in it. Tell me 59. I know it's in it.

This week, section 60, 61, 62, 63, I'd be hard-pressed

to meet anybody that just knows off the top of their head what is in those ones. It may be

professors who teach the doctrine in covenants for a living. But for the vast majority of us,

regular students of the scriptures, these are not revelations that come quickly to mind as some of the

groundbreaking ones in the doctrine covenants. We'll get to section 64 next week. That's a bigger one.

We'll get to section 76 in a couple of weeks. That's as big as they come. But this week,

it's some smaller things. Like I said, we were in Missouri last week.

We're in Kirtland this week. So what happened over this time period? We traveled. And these in some

ways are travel revelations. What do we do as we're going? When do we leave? Where do we go?

How do we get back? What do you want us to do along the way? And that's what kinds of instructions the Lord is giving here. To give you just a very brief

sentence about each one, section 60, the saints in Jackson County, well, actually, the elders

that are there in Jackson County are wondering what to do. Kind of what the saints have been asking

in 58. Now the elders, leaders, are trying to

ask the same thing in 60. In 61, it's a revelation along the Missouri River as they're heading

back home to Kirtland. And there's a vision of the destroyer on that river and some fascinating

things that come along those lines. We'll talk about that today. Then section
