0:00.0	Hello Unshaken Saints. I am Jared Halverson and I am thrilled to be back with you in Scripture.
0:05.0	Today we have very little to cover, but a lot of depth to get into. We've got three sections, that's all there is, section 46, 47, and 48.
0:13.0	We're still in Curtland, Ohio. The church is nearing its one year birthday. We're getting close.
0:20.0	And what's interesting about the revelations
0:22.0	we'll see today, some of them are much more organizational, ecclesiastical. We're going to see
0:28.8	in Section 47 John Whitmer called to be the church historian in 48. We're going to see some plans
0:36.0	on how do we settle all these saints that are gathering to Curtlin. But the main revelation we're going to see some plans on how do we settle all these saints that are gathering to Kirtland.
0:39.5	But the main revelation we're going to wrestle with today is Section 46.
0:44.3	And this one has, it's most famous for its discussion of the gifts of the spirit.
0:48.0	That seems to be a really important topic because it's found in the Bible as well as the Book of Mormon, as well as the Doctor in Covenants.
0:55.5	We've got 1st Corinthians 12. We have Moronite 10. We have Section 46 of the Doctrine Covenants.
1:01.3	And so spiritual gifts is something we really need to wrestle with and try to make sense of.
1:05.5	And this week we'll get the chance to do that.
1:08.3	But it is interesting to picture the time period.
1:12.6	And as saints are gathering,
1:17.7	we saw the law a couple weeks ago in section 42. Eventually they're going to start building the temple so they can be endowed with power from on high. Lots of amazing things happening in Kirtland.
1:22.5	But again, how do we run the church is a question that's driving the revelations for this week.
1:28.3	In some ways I find it comical almost that by section 46 they're asking the Lord,
1:33.3	are we doing this whole church thing right? And the answer might surprise you
1:37.3	because there's some changes and some improvement that they need to make.
1:41.3	And we'll see that as these revelations unfold today.
