Hello, I'm shaking saints. Jared Halverson here. Glad to have you back for more, especially glad to have you back in the 1830s.

Doctor in Covenants is incredible. Church history is amazing, and we are now nearing the end of our first year as Latter-day Saints.

Actually, we don't even know we're Latter-day Saints yet because the church is just called the Church of Christ.

But it was reorganized or established officially just a few months ago back in the church is just called the Church of Christ. But it was reorganized or established

officially just a few months ago back in April. We're now in December closing 1830 and ready to roar

into 1831. Now it's some really important things that are happening behind the scenes for this

week's revelations. Last week, well two weeks ago, Section 29, let's put all this in a second coming context.

Last week, 30 through 36, let's send out the missionaries to make sure we're sharing the gospel.

This week is 37, 38, 39, and 40.

And as far as what's going on here, 37, it's time to go as far as gathering is

concerned. If you take that second coming context that gives us a sense of urgency, and then you're

sending out missionaries all over the place, unlike other places, or other churches, I should say,

that send out missionaries to share the gospel and plant little

churches wherever they go.

It's not so much planting and growing there, but rather planting seeds of faith and then

harvesting them with a gathering to the garner.

What's fascinating about all of this is we'll see the first commandment for a gathering of modern Israel in today's material.

That's 37.

38 then we'll start to see preparation for the law of consecration.

And it's amazing to see the kinds of, speaking of seeds being planted, the things that the Lord

says in section 38, they're going to prepare us for section 42

and later sections that all deal with consecration. And then fascinatingly,
