Before we get this episode started, I just want to give a quick warning.

Olivia and I aren't feeling very well as we record this episode.

As a result, you might notice that we don't sound quite right.

I started feeling sick about a week ago, and I was sent home from school with a temperature

over 102 degrees Fahrenheit.

I've been battling a bad cough since that day, and thanks to my cough, I also have a bad

sore throat.

I went to see the doctor a few days ago, and I was diagnosed with something called walking

pneumonia.

I started taking antibiotics, and now I'm feeling about 80% better.

So usually we record episodes a few weeks before they are released.

This time around, things are different.

We are recording this episode on Thursday night, January 16th.

The episode we are recording is going to drop in about 55 hours.

We kind of had the choice to either skip the week or to record the episode even though we don't feel our best. But we decided that the show

must go on. We've been releasing episodes every Sunday for six and a half years and we

aren't going to break that streak this week.

So please forgive us if we don't sound our best.

The good news for you is that I'm going to edit out all of the coughing Olivia and I are doing,

so at least you don't have to hear us cough.
