Olivia, tell everybody what we are curious about this week. Rainbowes. That's right. This week we are curious about rainbows. Once again, we are going to start

0:55.3	What is a rainbow?
1:01.3	Well, a rainbow is an arc of color that is formed when light shines through water.
1:04.9	For those of you not familiar with what shape an arc is,
1:08.7	the rainbow looks like a letter in the alphabet turned upside down.
1:13.3	Olivia, do you want to take a guess what upside down letter a rainbow looks like?
1:14.1	Sure.
1:18.1	What letter does a rainbow look like upside down?
1:19.1	A U.
1:20.1	That's right.
1:22.7	It looks exactly like an upside down U. And do you wonder how rainbows are made?
1:26.1	Yes.
1:27.3	Okay, let's see here. Rainbows are made when light
1:30.5	reflects off water, like your image is reflected in a mirror. When it rains, water droplets remain
1:37.3	in the air, and the sun is able to shine through the water droplets and reflect light from the droplets,
1:43.8	causing a beautiful arc of color,
1:46.3	called a rainbow. A rainbow is also believed to have seven colors in it. These colors were
1:52.4	identified by Sir Isaac Newton about 350 years ago. Olivia, do you know what the seven
1:58.3	colors of the rainbow are?
2:09.5	Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet.
