Hello and welcome back to the Curious Kid Podcast.

0:22.5

It's the holiday season and kids all over the world are opening up lots of presents.

0:27.6

Chances are, a lot of those toys you unwrap are going to have something in common.

0:31.9

Tell them about it, Olivia.

0:33.5

A lot of those toys are going to have batteries.

0:37.1

They sure will. I hope you have batteries around because they will probably come in handy this holiday season.

1:33.1

1:37.4

Can you imagine if batteries didn't exist and we needed to plug flashlights into a wall to use them?

1:43.1

That wouldn't be very convenient at all.

1:45.5

Can you imagine if you had a remote-controlled car, but it had to be plugged into a wall?

1:50.5

It wouldn't go that far at all.

1:52.7

Yeah. As soon as it got too far from the wall, it's plugged into, you wouldn't be able to drive it any further.

1:58.8

That's no fun.
