Personally, guys, I thought the statute of limitations had run out on still celebrating

the Capp's Stanley Cup run of 2018.

Like enough had happened that we need to now focus purely on the future.

And then the world paused.

So now we're kind of forced to relive the past. Not that that's a bad thing at all. And J.J. Regan, we, NBC Sports Washington has

replayed this past weekend the four straight wins against Columbus in round one that started that

magical cup run. Big picture, your takeaway is you kind of relived

the first step of four on the road to the Stanley Cup. First, I'm glad, you know, obviously

nobody wants the coronavirus to happen, period, but I'm glad this happened now, as opposed to

like 2017, and all we had to look at was past

penguins, you know, losses. So, I mean, that's good. The big takeaway for me, what was striking was

how on their, back on their heels they were in that game three. You know, the caps were the better team

in games one and two, lost both games. And then Columbus took it to them in game three that

Lars Eller goal turned things around and the rest is history. Brian McNally, what was your biggest

takeaway? Yeah, I mean, part of what JJ, just surviving that, right? Like what JJ was talking

about. Like you forgot how close that thing really was. It wasn't just being down to nothing.

It was having to survive game three and really just doing it by the skin of their teeth.

And then even game five, I'd forgotten Rob,

rewatching game five, like that team, like that building was as tense as it had ever been

for any of the previous playoff losses.

Like, I forgot the just sheer scaredness, I guess, whatever the word would be.

Like, just the building felt like it has felt for many playoff games over the years.
