Well, for the first time, in a long time, we actually got to talk hockey because the

Capitals made general manager Brian McClellan available on a conference call. Mac is actually

in Minnesota with his family. He went to go see his daughters and his grandkids and as he

said, quote,

trying to get through this together as we all are. But JJ Regan, I don't know,

it was probably about a 15, 20 minute conference call. For me, JJ, the big takeaway was just the uncertainty. He a couple of times said, if we can get a season in. I mean,

he doesn't know at this point. Any of us, we have no idea what the future holds. But JJ,

what was your big takeaway from Max's conference call? Well, the first thing is that none of the

players are showing any signs or symptoms of coronavirus, which I think

was notable because they were in the locker room at Madison Square Garden, less than 24 hours

after Rudy O'Barre and the Jazz left. So I thought that was notable. It looks like they avoided

anything there. And yeah, the fluidity of the season and of the off season, it's just, he's got

some ideas of what he wants to do,

but he has no idea of what's going to happen or where everything is going. And he's just

pretty much in the dark as the rest of us. It's, it's crazy that, you know, there are so many

times where these people, general managers and teams and coaches know more than we do about these situations

and he's just sitting there telling us I don't know what's going to happen here's what I'd like

to see happen but I ultimately don't know so it's striking that we're you know two weeks into this

pause and it seems like they were no closer to getting a resolution there yeah Yeah, Brian McNally, it is day-to-hour, hour-to-hour like everyone else.

And Mac is trying to figure this out.
