Sunday morning, 11 Eastern on Fox.

I noticed that Bill Moyers has died at the age of 91.

And what's fascinating to me is most people think of him

as this public TV figure, very liberal, crusader, very smart guy, very effective communicator and all of that.

But the first thing that came into my mind, it's a little before my time, is that he was LBJ's top aide.

He was the press secretary.

He was the closest to Lyndon Johnson.

He had to, you know, deal with the press

or spend the press during the Vietnam War.

And then, you know, he effortlessly makes the jump to public TV.

At the time, you know, nobody raised the question about it,

that you could be so closely identified with a very liberal, great society president,

and then suddenly you be a journalist or a commentator,

wherever you want to be.

I mean, sure, he considers herself a journalist.

Now, it wasn't as easy even then.
