Today, we're going to be talking about one trap that we've all been pressured by,

Our culture so values pleasure and pleasure seeking and seeking

pleasure over purpose and purposeful decisions and a purposeful life. So Dr. Camman, where do you

see culture valuing pleasure over purpose? It seems like it's almost everywhere. You know,

everywhere you look. I mean, that's kind of what advertisements tell us to do. It's, I don't know, just like there's that cultural feel.

And so I think it's easy.

And plus the pleasure, even though it doesn't do things long term for us, short term, it feels good.

You know, it's like it, so it's kind of reinforced with us.

So I think that happens just in everywhere. I mean, you know, it's like,

you know, I was talking to lay this week and she was talking about how many times they were skipping

church and because we'd like, we'd rather sleep in or we like to cook breakfast in the morning. And she

says, and we just got in that trap and I know it's value. She said, I wouldn't let my kids skip school during the week.

And yet we've, and so it was something she was kind of struggling with.

And I think a lot of times we don't think about it.
