Today, we're going to be talking about one trap that is affecting far too many families and far

too many families are falling into, which is career over family.

So Dr. Kim, where do you see culture valuing career over families? If you really look at culture as a whole,

I think it's a pretty consistent message that that's a message we get. I mean, we are built in as Americans,

those of us who live in America, to achieve, to better yourself, to always be, you know, trying to move

forward. And then what does it take to do that?

And a lot of times, most of the time, the family can get set on the back burner.

Spouse can be set on the back burner.

And I think even, you know, I think there's some places, I know some workplaces that do it well

and probably value family and do that.

But I see other word of places where they say that, but then the underlying message is,

don't do that.

You know, if you take that family time off and you're doing it now when we're real busy

or we're trying to do this, yeah, you might, you know, you might not get the next

promotion or things like that.

So I think there's kind of a double message been sent some time,
