Personally, I can go on for days about this, but here are some quick thoughts I have.

A tip for basic service is ridiculous, but it is better to take the money than to refuse it.

Tip jars fill up if you put them out, so why not?

The barista wage is too low and a tip jar cushions

that problem there are some very crazy laws about who can handle tips and whether it's legal to pool them
