Anonymous, violent letters and phone calls.

Threats from someone you can't see, but who seems to see everything.

This person knows where you live, your daily routine. They even know your child's name

and where they go to school. This was the reality for actress Eva LaRue, best known for

playing detective Natalia Boa Vista on CSI Miami. But off camera, Eva was trapped in a crime

story of her own. It began in 2007 when she received an

anonymous letter. Bone-chilling words filled the paper with the writer's dark and twisted

fantasies. Letter after letter showed up each one more disturbing than the last, and the writer

always signed the same name, a name stolen from a classic horror film,

Freddie Kruger. And for Eva, that name became a real-life nightmare. For years,

the threats kept coming. Eva and her young daughter, Kaya, lived in fear. The stalker sent

handwritten letters and left terrifying voicemails.

While investigators searched for any clue that could lead them to the person behind the letters, the case went nowhere.

Until 2019, when new technology finally opened a door.

Eva went to the authorities, but the letters didn't stop, the voicemails didn't stop,

and the fear never let up.

Then, in the fall of 2019, the threats took a new turn when a man called Kaya's school and claimed to be her father and said he was on his way to pick her up.

Eva and Kaya changed how they lived, how they moved, who they trusted.
