Welcome back to the podcast where we are reading the Gospels this school year.

Today is day 92 of this journey.

We are in the Gospel of Mark, reading chapter 14 verses 17 through 31. And today we will be reading the account of the Last Supper. I'm reading from the new American translation of the Bible.

I encourage you to follow along. But before we start, let's pray. In the name of the Father and of the Son,

and of the Holy Spirit, amen. Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful, and kindle in

them the fire of your love. Send forth your spirit, and they shall be created. And you will renew

the face of the earth, amen.

A reading from the Holy Gospel, according to Mark, chapter 14, verses 17 through 31.

When it was evening, he came with the 12, and as they reclined at the table and were eating, Jesus said,

Amen, I say to you, one of you will betray me, one who is eating with me.

They began to be distressed and to say to him,

one by one, surely it is not I.

He said to them, one of the twelve,

the one who dips with me into the dish.

For the son of man indeed goes as it is written of him,

but woe to that man by whom the son of man indeed goes as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the son of man is

betrayed. It would be better for that man if he had never been born. While they were eating,
